Keramitsis: “To make Mr Mourinho proud”

The 17-year-old Dimitris Keramitsis lived the first of his many, big football dreams with his debut in the Roma jersey and he is setting his sights on more appearances to do justice to Jose Mourinho.

The Greek boy, who has been training with the men’s team of the “Giallorossi” since last November, was called up for the game against Cagliari on Sunday and even managed to get his first minutes under the Portuguese coach’s guidance.

Keramitsis referred to “the best day of my life” and what he wanted to emphasize most of all was that “now I will work much harder to be able to repay Mr.Mourinho’s trust and make him proud”.

This is what he said on social media, while speaking to Roma’s official channel shortly after the 1-0 win over Cagliari, he said:

“I was excited while I was on the bench, but when I got on the pitch I had to concentrate to help my team secure the winning points. I would like to dedicate this debut to my family, the coaches I have had over the years along the way, the staff and my teammates who help me every day.”
