The National Youth Team finished first in its group and undefeated in the qualifying phase of the European Championship, having already qualified for the Elite Round of the competition where it will fight for its participation in the final phase.

After the victories against Switzerland (2-0) and Andorra (3-0), Tasos Theo’s U19 team drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic, with whom they tied, but the Greek team finished first due to a better goal difference.

In the match held at the Stade des Arbères in Meirin, Switzerland, our National Youth Team was superior in the first half and could have scored in the phases created mainly by Spirakos, Kyriopoulos, Smyrlis and Koutsias.

But it was the Czechs who opened the score in the 64th minute with Smiga after an assist from Spatenka.

The Greek team finally managed to equalize in the 75th minute with Spyrakos (from a pass by Tsikos) and completed their obligations in the qualifying phase at the top of the standings and undefeated.
